Facebook Timeline Cover Image?
What are the true dimensions of this work space. I read that it was 850x315px but that makes little sense as that is like 1x2inches. Or is that the set dimension which FB extrapolates dropped images to? Trying to create something in Photoshop and drop it there but it is difficult without the correct dimensions. Thanks

When you switch to the new Facebook Timeline, one of the first new features you’ll see is the ability to add a large “Cover” image. You’ll also be able to see the Cover images of all other Facebook users who have switched to the new Timeline. (After December 21st, everyone on Facebook will have their profile replaced with Timeline).

photoshop has an option to use pixels instead of inches. I'd give you specific directions, but it depends on where you're trying to set the dimensions... but no matter where you're trying to set the dimension, they let you choose between inches, cm, pixels, etc.... so just look for the drop down option where is says "inches" (or whatever measurement type you're using) when creating a new image or trying to resize your image or canvas.
