For girls: Why do you like wearing yoga pants?

Honestly, why do you wear them? Is it to attract attention or because it's genuinely comfortable? I'm asking because every girl I see no matter where I go wears them and these pants show EVERYTHING! As I said it's bad enough that they show 'everything' but when they're being worn by a freaking whale...

translation for those that don't get it:
Whale = REALLY fat girl.

Also it's those that look like leggings that I have a problem with. Hate those with a passion. You sound like a respectable woman though and have earned my respect. If only there were more like you in boring old London.

I would never wear yoga pants out. Those are meant for working out! And yes they are very comfortable.

Well.... Im one of those girls (ehum women, Im 24) who doesn't wear yogapants other than when longuing around the house or when camping or any casual outdoor socials.
Also, Im one of those who doesnt wear ANY clothes for attention (unlike what jimmy claimed), I wear my clothes either for practical reasons or personal preferences or comfort zones, not for any sort of "intentions" (affection, sexual, attention etc). People who accuse me for something or look down on me based on my clothing are not welcome in the friends or dating territory....ever.

If Im going to wear yogapants in puplic I only would wear those that look like trousers but made of a fleece/cotton material like these: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31...0,246_.jpg

But with crop tops and yoga pants that looks like leggings - hell NO! Im not interested in the sport inspired street wear that seems to be populare these days. I prefer more polished ensemble most of the time, when wearing something risque Im wearing those to get out of my comfort zone once in a while.

Im 95ibs and 5'5" for reference, not a "whale". I guess, you are hanging around in the fast food areas if you are only surrounded by "whales" (funny word choice) .... or you are that kind of sterotyping person who think everyone who isnt models or doesnt have some "muffin" tops are fat, all i can say thats just your opinion and dont expect to befriend with girls when saying that, its a bit ignorant...

Edit: It wasnt meant to come off as a rude comment, just an opinion. I guess people who say something negative about what they hate cannot accept when people say something about theirs. Oh well, I shouldnt complain, because Im like that with things I hate! (and thats media standards for younger people and when people prejudicing other based on their clothes )
