Buying from Amazon is pretty safe; if you aren't buying direct from them but through them, they still have a guarantee in case the seller flakes out on you.

As far as that phone, I've never heard of that company, but it seems to get good reviews.

From Amazon, yes. From another reseller who lists their products through the Amazon site, maybe.

As for specific products, research them. Try to seek out negative reviews.
