What do you think of social media?
In high school, I didn't use much. Until college I do, but I realize that after using for 8 months of social media. Can I check in once a week or so instead of daily usage that I've been doing? I'm tired and I rather be around people to update than through online.
Do you think it's okay for me check in once in a while? Instead of daily?
Also, twitter and Instagram. Same thing?
HOnestly, what do you think of Social media?
BA of course! Best answer please. thank you

it's GAY. i dont have a facebook or a twitter, or any website dedicated to myself to share useless information with my "friends" in a fishing attempt for a digital "thumbs up". it's mostly for girls, because girls love showing off how much fun they have or how good they look. and gossip... girls love to gossip.

people say "but i use it to keep in touch with family" ... as if you couldn't do something more personal like write them a letter.. too old fashioned? send them an e-mail, or hell, give them a call and hear their voice.

social media is so impersonal. like when someone dies and they put RIP Dad (you can't think of anything more personal or thoughtful than a big ol' disrepectful "RIP"? hell you didn't even take the time to write out "rest in peace", but i digress...) and then everyone clicks "Like" ... ya i "like" that your dad died.

and then the media loves to feed off the scraps of social media. Like that chick who dressed up like a Boston Marathon bombing, the media gets ahold of it, shows what was relatively private to everyone in the world and fuels hatred and death threats from the avg retard. man, does the media love to show everything distasteful every random person says. it sure does drive up ratings at the expense of someones reputation. for every 1 story of social media you hear that did something good for society, you hear 1000 of those reputation destroying stories that the mainstream news feeds off of. nothing but bad comes from it. the worst part of that is that 90% of communication is non-verbal and the average reading level of an american is like 3rd grade.... it is inevitable that the majority of things made public and seen by millions of people will be taken out of context.

Due to the increase in social media websites, there seems to be a positive correlation between the usage of such media with cyber-bullying, online sexual predators, and the decrease in face-to-face interactions.
Social media may expose children to images of alcohol, tobacco, and sexual behaviors.
this is what more people still think about it
