Yes. With online courses you won't even meet your instructor. The learning is all up to you. You must be able to teach yourself and not procrastinate!

I think so... because if you don't understand something in class (sitting thru it) you can ask your peers or teacher. I know you can ask your teacher through online too, but it's more hands on. Depends on how YOU learn best.
Good luck Smile

i think so. only because you can't see them face-to-face and you have to be very disciplined with your studies. i dropped an online HEALTH class. like who does that? haha i hate them.

i recommend it if you think it'll be an easy course and if you put a lot of time and effort into your school work. (dont do it for a difficult math course--worst ever, unless you get a real life tutor)

It's very different. It all depends on you. Taking college in a traditional class is good for structure & keeping you on track. You can interact face to face with others to ask questions & get a better understanding.

With online classes it's all on you. You must stay on top of things, keep up on reading, and manage your time effectively. You can ask questions but it may take time to get a reply back.

How do you best learn? How disciplined are you? One more thing - with an online college make sure it is regionally accredited (highest accreditation). Some for-profit online colleges are simply diploma mills that charge a lot & their degrees are worthless (example: University of Phoenix).

It will depend on the school and the course itself but since online classes are more self-paced, they will require excellent time management skills. Instead of having to attend a 3-hour course in person at a specific time, you will need to figure out the best day or time of day to log in and work on your assignments. This will work well if you need a flexible schedule.

I earned my undergraduate degree at a traditional campus but am earning my MBA online. For me, this works well because I have a full-time job and other activities that prevent me from attending in-person at a specific time each week.

If you do decide that online classes are the better option for you, make sure you look at accredited schools and talk with current and former students on the school's social media pages. That will give you an idea of the classroom experience.

Good luck!
Madeline
