Are Facebook pages shown to be connected to your personal account?

I'm thinking about creating a public Facebook page to share some of my political views (if anyone cares, haha) but I was wondering that if I created the page through my personal account, would it show that my personal account is tied to the public page (or vice versa) in any way? — not too keen on letting all of my friends know that I have my own public page, especially when I'm not sure if it will be any good yet.
