Can anyone see my facebook if they don't have a facebook?

I'm pretty sure it used to be open, so anyone could see my FB w/out logging in or even having an account.
And I'm pretty sure that, now, nobody can see anything unless they sign up.

Is that correct?
If so, it makes the site completely useless as a marketing or business tool...i mean wtf seriously.
Ah i see what you mean by some info showing on Goggle.
I thought the point of FB was to have a FREE site w/networking tools...but if i'm not mistaken, those sidebar ads cost considerable money...though you're right, it does work when you pay.
by the way, what i sell is pictures...so a single vector image at 1x1 doesn't work so good....business cards are still the best form of advertising for artists, i don't care what anyone says.

I think it depends on how you have your privacy settings set up. You can be completely searchable or completely hidden. It's up to you.

Correct, if you dont havea facebook account then you cant view anybodys profile, they must sign up first.

First of all, some of your profile information can be viewed by anyone who does a quick google search of your name (adding information such as location if needed).
As for your comment about Facebook's usefulness as a marketing tool... Perhaps you need to understand that there are hundreds of millions (if not billions) of users on Facebook. If you use Facebook's marketing techniques (ads on the side of the screen) then you will successfully be marketing to millions of people who have common interests.

A Facebook Page and it's content are always Visible in search Engine and can be viewed without Logging in on Facebook,However if you want to make your Facebook Profile visible in search Engine you can do so by visiting the link http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy
Here click ads,apps ad websites and then on the new page open Edit Settings under public search and then on the page opened check mark on "Enable Public search".

and if you are using it for marketing you must be having an Facebook page if not you should have one as the content of Facebook pages is visible to search engines.
