AT&T DSL going slow (really slow)?
My Internet is supposed to be 3mbps download speed. I usually get 2.55mbps and I'm fine with that. Never had a problem with those speeds. BUT... Lately it's been going down to 0.45mbps, and disconnecting like every 5-25 minutes. It's so annoying. Any suggestions?

Call tech support.

They will be very happy to test the line from their end. If they see a problem between the CO and the modem, they will find and fix it.

If they find no problem they will tell you the problem is on your side of the modem.

The first thing they will tell you to try is to change the wires from wall to modem, and modem to PC. Wires can go funky at any time for no apparent reason.

Last option is the modem has gone bad.

From the description of your symptoms though it sounds like a local wire.
