Popup ads and such everywhere on internet?
Since today I opened my internet explorer and it randomly crashed. After this random crash, so many ads showed up like I have no ad blocker whatsoever. My security is on medium-high, I fixed everything with Norton Security Suite running scans and such and I still have this problem. (ESPECIALLY ON YOUTUBE)
Please help. This has happened before and I forgot how it just went away. Ads |

You have adware. Use AdwCleaner and Junkware removal tool. Then Malwarebytes Antimalware. Then use either AdblockPlus or your windows host file to block future ad's. http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

Hello,
Sorry for the trouble. I am Vineeth and I am from the Norton Support team. These are programs are commonly known as Potentially Unwanted Programs or PUPs and they get attached to your browser. Can you go to Control Panel > Programs & Features and see whether there is any unwanted programs installed? If so, please uninstall it. Open Internet Explorer and then click Tools > Manage Add-Ons. In the Manage Add-Ons window, disable the new or unwanted Add-Ons. Now in the Manage Add-Ons window, on the left pane, click Search providers and then remove the unwanted entry and then select any of the search engines such as Yahoo or Google and then click "Set as Default." Close the Manage Add-Ons window. Open Internet Explorer again and then click Tools > Internet Options. On the General tab, under HomePage, remove the url listed in the box and then change it to http://www.Yahoo.com or any site that you want to have as Homepage. Exit Internet Explorer and re-open it again and see if it helps! Thanks! Vineeth Norton Support |
