What should my business model be?

I'm a college student who does video and photography and would like to make myself more professional and offer these hybrid services. What steps should I take to take this more seriously? What I can think of right now is...
1. Build a strong portfolio
2. Hire a designer for my watermark/logo
3. Create a website
4. Set prices
5. Use social media to advertise
6. Print out business cards
7. Get myself out there and reach out to customers/companies

Is it this simple on paper? What else am I forgetting?

The steps you have written are the most important ones and i dont think you are forgetting any thing.
No it wont be difficult to achieve these goals, but your priorities will be your logo, business cards and website first and then your portfolio and other goals.

Also regarding website choose a platform and website where you can go into the admin section and update your latest work yourself, so that you dont have to pay the designer very now and then for uploading. You can choose free wordpress theme for your website and they have lots of plugins that can be implemented.

And as a start up what you can do is go to some community centers and do some volunteering work and with their permission share those pics on your social media. Tag people if they agree to be tagged in the pictures. This way you will be able to build up your portfolio.
