Tumblr Personal Messaging?

I created a blog on Tumblr recently, and apparently I am unable to be sent personal messages? I've checked the FAQs and googled and looked everywhere I could think of, but I am unable to find anything that tells me how to fix this problem. It's probably just something very obvious that I'm overlooking, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also unsure on how to PM other blogs, so any help there would also be great.

click "Send fan mail"

Go to settings
-https://www.tumblr.com/settings
Enable "Let people ask questions"
