My phone wont connect to the internet?

Ive had my Samsung Galaxy Ace for ages and I have a thing where I get 2GB internet every month. Its the start of June so i couldnt have used it all yet. Everything internet based wont work (instagram, twitter etc).

Also when somebody texts me I receive it hours later.. which is really annoying. Ive tried taking out the sim card for 20 seconds and re installing apps but nothing has worked!!

Have you checked to see if you may have accidentally turned off your mobile network connection ? I have done this myself a few times and had to rack my brains to find the problem out !!
