Can the school see what I'm doing on their internet?
Say I am using my iPad and it is connected to the schools internet, can they see what I am doing on the internet?

yes, a solution to this would be to purchase a vpn https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/buy-vpn/ ,but if your school has some sort of website blocker then they most likely block access to vpns.

They can see what sites a particular client system is visiting, what you are downloading, and using timestamps they can also make informed guesses about anything that client system was used to post, but unless they identify that the MAC address or IP they are logging belongs to you then they can't identify that it was you rather than an unknown random student.

Since you are using their network and you never know when someone will see what is on your computer screen, it is a good idea not to visit any sites they don't want you to access, but as far as logging everyone's activity it is not likely they will be aware of where every student surfs the internet because that is a very large amount of data which takes expensive equipment and/or a lot of man hours to monitor.

In other words they can see what sites you visit if they tried to find out, but without a reason to try to find out they won't know.

Ya just download a proxy and you'll be able to bypass whatever security they have set up unless your school's tech department actually knows what they're doing, which I doubt.
