Why does everyone hate 9gag?

So i found 9gag recently and i quite like the website, but i see nothing but hate for it anywhere else? I see people calling it the cancer of the internet lol. So can someone give me a brief explanation as to why it's hated on so much?

So much of the stuff they upload is stupid, and they often upload something they've already had on their site. Making it less enjoy to browse when they see the same thing 3 times.
