Why does internet explorer stop responding?
I have IE 7 with Windows 7. I'm running yahoo browser. If I open a few windows a then close some when I go back to the original page it's locked. I can't move it or close it. I get the message internet explorer has stopped responding looking for a solution. Then the windows close. Sometimes I have to restart the computer to recover

check processing power - open task manager - click on cpu tab so that process that use most appear at the top and repeat your scenario

if you are hitting 100% then maybe you need to close some other running process or upgrade your system

Because IE was so tightly integrated with Windows; so tight anti-trust was sued on it, IE crash == Windows crash; although I doubt you needed to restart entire computer, Windows was so mature already only fatal hardware fault can bring down entire computer; a mistake with a Script and this results, bot don't sweat it, Firefox/Chrome/Safari all had encounters like that but not being tight bed fellows they don't bring Windows down with it.

Stop using IE 7, it's newest or go get Firefox/Chrome, you are not missing anything by going off ISP's so-called recommended Web setup.
