Why is Wordpress bad for SEO?
I've been told that making a website using Wordpress is bad for SEO.
Then I was told that if you make your site with Wordpress, but it's hosted elsewhere, it's not bad for SEO. Then I was told any way you make your site with Wordpress is bad for SEO. What's true? Ads |

It's technically not ideal since the content can be below a bunch of theme code, making it more tedious for the search spiders to find it.
There are tools that show the raw code form of a page as the spiders see it, this one may do it: http://www.searchenginegenie.com/spider-.../index.php That being said, some 17% of the top 1 Million sites are Wordpress based, there are enough of them around that the search engines have probably optimized their spider routines to find the content with no problem. The lack of proper meta data can be a factor as well, there are SEO plugins that provide more fields for you to manually fill in, All-in-one-SEO perhaps the best known original may be a bit too processor intensive, some hosts have banned it. For blogs in general, using too many tags may be considered SEO spam according to Google's new quality standards. Ads |

I guess it depends on the content itself. If you have a good content, then it doesn't matter with what you build your website.
What you heard about it is bad for seo isn't entirely wrong as most spam websites are using wordpress, as it is easy to use. |
