Gf tried to catch me cheating...thoughts?
I've been with my gf for a little over 7 months. Recently she created a fake facebook page and tried to add me on it. The profile picture was some girl with her t*ts hanging out, and she had zero friends. Shortly after trying to add me, she immediately messaged me, being extremely flirty and trying to get me to meet up with her. I'm not an idiot. I realized right away that it was my gf. She denied it at first but eventually came clean.

I'm kinda annoyed with her and I think it was pathetic of her to do that. She's telling me she only did it because she's been cheated on in the past and has trust issues. I could maybe understand if she did it at the BEGINNING of our relationship, just to see if I was for real, but 7 months into it seems kinda messed up.

Would u be pissed too or am I overreacting?
Nah, I haven't done anything to make her think I'm dishonest or anything, and even if I unknowingly did something to get her panties in a bunch, I still think it was lame to do what she did rather than talk to me about it.

You're not overreacting. I'd be like WTF, too. // Did she see you talking with another girl / flirting, recently? Was there something that got her panties in a bunch? If not - and this is "just her being her," I wouldn't have long term hopes for your relationship...

Wow. Imagine what she will do after 7 years! End it! End it now! Her problem with insecurity resulting from previous relationships is not yours!

I'd be pretty PO'd with this entrapment tactic. Be wary that she might do something like this again. You need to decide if this kind of behavior is something you want in your relationship.

You're not overreacting--her behavior was out of line. If she has trust issues, she needs to speak to a licensed therapist about them, or consider going to couple's counseling with her. Let her know that her attempting to trap/trick you really hurts and try to find out if there was anything that you may have done previously to trigger the behavior (something innocent like compliment a friend, or pretending to flirt with a waitress).

It is pretty childish behavior. If she does anything else like it, you should have second thoughts. Make sure she knows that too. Tell her you are not her last boyfriend and her behavior was immature. But everyone is allowed one mistake. If you find spyware on your computer or geolocation apps mysteriously downloaded to your phone, then you can be pissed off.

I can't blame you for getting upset. It's hard to understand why, after 7 months, she's having trust issues. It does put a chink in the relationship. You need to sit down and talk it out. Next thing you know she'll be hiding in the bushes or up a tree Aint nobody got time for that!
