How do I delete a picture I posted to Tumblr?

I have an account but don't seem to be able to change anything on it.
I appreciate the suggestion but it didn't work.

You go to the upper right corner of your dashboard and click on posts. Under the picture you posted, there should be a little gear wheel and when you click on that, you'll see the option to delete.
I clicked on the gear wheel and nothing came up.
