Facebook notifications?

I commented once on an article I found linked on facebook, and now I'm getting notifications whenever any random strangers comment on it. How do I get this to stop?
I went to my "notifications" page and most notifications have an "x" next to them (stop notifications), but this one doesn't, and it really makes me angry.

go to the actual post that you're getting notifications on, and you'll see a downward facing arrow in the upper right hand corner of the post. Click on that, and that will stop your notifications for that particular post. I do it all the time.

modify the particular level of privacy establishing, is able to see simply of one's close friends.

Go to your notification setting and change setting to stop that notification.
