Blacklinks should be published on nofollw site. But it is mandatory that you have to check the PR of that nofollow site where you can publish your backlinks. Use google to check nofollow site and use SEOquak extension for check the nofollow website's PR.

Thanks

There are a lot of places that you can post your articles. If you are going to publish your articles in article directories, make sure that you have only 1 or 2 backlinks within each article, otherwise they may deem them overly promotional, and will not allow you to post them. Do a search for "article directories" to find a bunch of them.

You definitely want "DoFollow" links, but "NoFollow" are ok as well. It's good, at least from my experience, to have a good mixture of everything, although the DoFollow links will help you out in the SERPs more (Search Engine Results Pages).

The key is to build backlinks from different places all over the internet, but to make it look natural. Don't go building 500 links in a single day to a brand new website. Google will penalize you or worse.

So basically, you want links from all over the web, pointing to the site that you want to rank. Articles can be, and frequently are used for that.

You can publish backlinks at web directories, article directories, press releases sites, blog comments, forums etc.

You can can Blog Reviews where you can either give the body of text with backlinks to the blog owner to make as a blog entry, or the blog owner can come up with the text themself with your backlinks. If you have a blog, then also do this yourself. Forums that have an advertising forum on their boards is also a place you can do what you want.

To better the PR and rankings of your website, be sure your backlinks are Not "nofollow"!
