help with facebook for blackberry please?

i have facebook installed on my blackberry curve 8320. However, i get notifications both to my email and through the facebook application. how do i stop getting the notifications to my email, but still get them through the facebook application? when i go into my notification settings i disable getting notifications via email, but then i stop getting them via the facebook application.

i just want to receive notifications via the facebook application
i edited my mail notifications on facebook.com.

however, strangely i don't have settings for "facebook for blackberry" in my account settings

you have to go directly to your facebook accounts and edit your mail notification settings there. Its like signing up again.
