Cheap Home Internet Service?
After reviewing my latest cable bill (which always seems to increase!), I never realized how much we were overpaying for TV/Internet/Phone, so started looking into alternatives...
For TV we ordered Hulu Plus & Netfilx, and the Basic Talk system for a home phone...the only thing I can't find is cheap Internet that is not tied to cable of FIOS-- by cheap I mean $30 or less per month. Any suggestions? Ads |

It would help if you told us where you were ...
Time Warner offers an internet package for $15/month. It is only a 2mbps connection. It isn't something they advertise much. For phone service, consider Ooma. You purchase the device - you can get it off of Woot sometimes for $100, normal "retail" is $150. That is a one time fee. After that, all you have to pay for basic services is something like $4/month in taxes. If you want premiums like voice mail and such, they offer that for $10/mo. Ads |
