Sound isn't working- only in Chrome browser?

What the title says. Sound doesn't work in the chrome browser. IE works, but I hate it. Apps have sound, games do, music does, etc... Fixes?
Edit: looked at the mixer and it doesn't even recognize that it's playing sound.

If there is a Chrome icon in your system mixer, make sure it is unmuted.

You can also uninstall and reinstall Chrome, and clear your browser cache and cookies completely. If those don't work, go to Settings >> Advanced Settings and there is an option to reset settings in case some other installed program interfered with them.

Other than that, check for malware if you haven't scanned recently.
