How long does twitter jail last?

I can't tweet anymore because of this twitter jail. All I did was went over the tweet limit and then my blue tweet button was gone. It's been almost two days and I haven't been off twitter jail yet. What happened? I didn't post or write anything offensive. I was just voting for the EMAs.
