Internet keeps droping?

I know a good bit about tech stuff just so you know "Yes its plugged in". >

My internet speed is usually 20 up and 20 down but since the other day the speeds drop to almost nothing, like 1 up .2 down

It does so every 10 minutes, I called my ISP and they said they're was nothing they could do..

please help I have to get my work done this week

Well, as you know a good bit about tech stuff - here's what I would do:

* Reset to factory settings any router or modem in my system.
* Re-flash firmware of anything with a firmware. That means modem, router, whatever. In particular, make sure I have the newest firmware.
* Reinstall any network drivers, and check for updates on drivers in general.
* Run Malwarebytes and TDSSKiller to make sure I didn't have an infection that did this.
* Make sure I have a grounded power strip and/or a power surge protected power strip.
* Replace any phone filters or try bypassing any phone filters on my line (you didn't tell what kind of connection this is - but I'm assuming a *DSL here, hybrid cable might be different).
