My daughter has a yahoo email address and a rocketmail address and keeps receiving emails via facebook we set up a new yahoo account from the rocketmail account but still have the same problem. She has not got a facebook account as she is only 9, however I do.

They're spam, they're not actually via/from Facebook. Just delete and ignore them.

I agree. They might be spam. Try marking them as spam so they don't show up in your inbox. Also, try another email account like gmail. If they still show up you've definitely got a virus

Well there are 3 possiblities. 1 is that your daughter might have made an account secretly without you knowing. 2. someone must have hacked one of the accounts and use them as the primary email for their own facebook and lastly 3 if any of the "facebook" messages are yours then you might have somehow added your daughters email to your account. however I believe the first explaination makes more sense I mean sure of it. sure she is nine years old but I have seen a 6 year old fix an old vcr and I have 2 nieces who are 8 and 12 and they made an account without their parents knowing. so she could have made an account. It depends your going to have to check things out and check out this "facebook" account if it isnt yours or hers then make a new email account again. good luck and I think you should use gmail instead but thats another storySmile

Rocketmail is owned by Yahoo when they acquires the Four11 corporation and they modeled their email from that email mail. In 2008 they put Rocketmail back on line. Originally it was created to compete with msn hotmail by the four11 Corporation. I would really guess this is Spam email.

It's call spam, and it's bloody annoying, not allot you can do about it apart from add them to your spam/blocked senders list.

First: She's only 9. why does she have an e-mail address?
Second: It could actually be her facebook. She just hasn't let you know that she has one.

If you're using her e-mail for your facebook, then yes, you will be receiving e-mails from facebook.
If you aren't then someone is hacking your daughter's e-mail address and using it for themselves.

To do:
Next time you see a facebook e-mail, look at it and make sure it's really from facebook. If it is, click on something that will take you to the facebook wall/home page and you will be able to see who's profile it is. (It would probably log you in automatically)

now comes the fun part. If you're evil, like me, go to the account settings on that person's facebook and change the e-mail address or password. Then put something on their wall or send one of their friends a message saying that you're tired of this person using your daughter's e-mail address for their facebook account and are now deleting it.

If you're using an unsecured WIFI for your internet, then that may possibly be your problem. Make sure it's locked so you don't get into trouble with the law for someone else's miss-use.
