Blackberry curve saying i have facebook notifications, when i don't?

My blackberry curve has the facebook notification symbol with a 3 next to it but no red star to says it's unread? it has done it before n said it had one, and after alot of resetting n putting the battery in and out it went away, but now this one has been here for about a week and i don't know how to get rid of it? i have no unread notifications, so no idea why it's there?!
--------- Thank you denice i have gone through them and realised it was things i had done that had not worked (such as a status that failed to update) just deleted them and it went away

That happens a lot. There's always some notifications you see, but you have to click on them and see them so they wont say its been unread. It's annoying sometimes, but just find the ones you haven't clicked on and see them. So it will go away.
