Why do I have faster internet than my cable provider allows for?
I have Time Warner Cable ultimate internet which allows for up to 50 mbps but when I click on connections in my network and sharing center it tells me I'm getting speeds of over 70 Mbsp. Am I understanding this information correctly?

It is most likely the connection speed to your network, not the internet. If you want to really know how fast your internet is, go to http://www.speedtest.net
