What would be a good idea for a website?

I want to build one on gaming- I know that there are numerous but I want one of my own. The website would cover new releases, guides to most games.

Like you said there's many out there what would make yours different? Also will you get permission from the game makers to use their screenshots and/or videos? Otherwise it will cause problems if you want to monetize the site or make money off of it.

You've answered your own question I think. If there are numerous ones out there, what's the value of yours? Think about that before you start - if it's just another site doing what others already do, might not be any value proposition. Identify why yours would be better or different. (If it's just "I'm writing it", that's not a great reason - why are you better?)

Websites that do walk through guides are really good if your trying to complete something you've struggled on or a website that answers questions anyone might have about games you've played? Those websites i always look for and would be very good

Otherwise, you've answered the question yourself. What makes yours different? Don't create it because of the sake of it.
