No internet in a town that used to have internet ?

this little town we are moving to has hughes net only but the box says bell south att and they ay you cant get att out their so how is that possible the town is not small it has a post office and a grocery could we get internet or not

By the "box" I assume you mean the cable box or modem which can be made or sold by att but that does not mean that att provide internet service to the area.
