If you try buying an existing website, expect to be scammed.

Flippa is probably the most famous.
Another is digitalpoint (click on "marketplace" and "sites")
Websitebroker.com also lists established sites for sale.

http://flippa.com is the biggest and really the only one I know of, there are a larger number of domain name marketplaces like sedo.com, some of which might handle complete sites as well.

I understand the price is typically 8 to 15 times the monthly revenue of a site, traffic and page rank stats can be faked, do your research. (Lately Google page rank has been lagging months behind, only updating 5 or less times a year)
