What can I give up to get a twitter?

I've asked my parents if I could get a twitter account but they said no. My dad says that if I give something up to earn a twitter then I could probably get one... However I don't really have anything worth giving up... I have email, texting, and an Instagram, but that's it (and I like Instagram as much as I want a twitter, so I'm not giving that up) I'd give up email, because I rarely use it unless I'm contacting family or making an account for a store, but I don't want to give up connecting with my family. And giving up texting isn't going to happen because that's the main way I keep in touch with everyone, my parents included. So what do I do? I've asked if I could give up YouTube for a while (I don't have an account but I use the site daily), along with TV and my laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks

why do you even ask you don't have to tell them that you got twitter or anything they don't have to know your first mistake was asking
