Can these companies take my domain?
I have recently registered a few .PM domain names, thinking that I would be able to make a lot of money from them, before realizing they're worthless...
http://www.Night.pm http://www.Aldi.pm http://www.Messenger.pm http://www.MSN.pm http://www.Webdesigns.pm http://www.Ford.pm and a few more... Is it possible for Aldi, Ford and Microsoft to take the domains from me, as they have rights? Could I get sued? Any recommendations what I can do with the domains as I am trying to sell them, where and who should I sell them to? Thanks Ads |

Nobody would buy them because they couldn't use them.

As mentioned in my answer to your previous question, the exact rules depend on the registrar for the domain in question. However, they all have similar rules. If you have a domain that is a registered trademark, and the purpose of your registration was to prevent them using it or to abuse their trademark, then the owner of the trademark can request the registrar to cancel your registration and transfer the domain to them.
So, yes - the owners of those relevant trademarks can require you to give up those domains, unless the purpose of your registration was to use them yourself for bona fide purposes (eg if your name is Mr Ford it would be perfectly reasonable to register that domain for personal use or for your own business that used that name legitimately). |
