Guys, help me out. Please. Does he like me or just being nice? 10pts. REALLY REALLY need help!?

We know each other for 5 months, but we are not close.
We don't have any mutual friends.
He did me favors 3 times!
He never texts me first EVER!
He tried to avoid walking with me after the class twice.
He didn't text me back 4 times!
He told me he's not a texter.
I followed him on twitter for a month now, and he hasn't followed me back yet.

But:
He stared at me in the class (my friends told me)
He stared at me during the sport games (2 of my friends told me) and he's an athlete.
We texted an hour, 4 hours, and 6 hours before! (but I was the one who texted first).
He uses "haha" in most of his texts.
He will text me back even I texted him randomly like "it's so cold today!"

I asked him to hangout on last wednesday.
I texted "Wanna watch NHL game and have dinner together on Wednesday night?"
He texted "I wish I could but I have my first test on Thursday"
I texted "Maybe just dinner other other when you're free?"
He texted "Yeah Well actually I could probably go on Wednesday I guess. I can study before and after I guess"
I texted "Are you sure?"
He texted "What about I will let you know on Wednesday?"
And on Wednesday, he didn't text me at all. So I texted him if he still wanted to hangout.. He still can't go because he needed to study. BUT he asked if he can interview me for his paper this week and we can hangout later. And he said he will text me to let me know when in this week.

++AND he hasn't let me know yet!

So does he like me or just being nice?

P.S. he's quiet and kinda shy guy, but has many friends!

Hey seems like a nice guy- he may just feel overwhelmed. I'd say he does like you- but he doesn't want it to move too fast.
So wait to see if he texts you about the interview thing, and if not don't push it. Just wait a while and see if he mentions something else? You don't want to come on too strong

But I more think he likes you. If he is shy and quiet and all it probably is not normal to express his feeling ands get attached quickly. Also make sure you are not over pushy. No one likes that. Also how old are you guys? And if you have any classes together text him what's the homework? That is how my boyfriend and I started dating.... by talking about hw.

i think u should become better friends with him and don't be worried about the texting stuff he could be busy

if he stares he could like u and it's good ur friends keep an eye for stuff like that

he seems nice he's giving u mixed signs he could possibly like u
