my mom wants to follow me on twitter. Accept request?

i tweet things that may not be 100% okay with my parents. My dad is very conservative and freaked out when he found out i had my first kiss at age 14. i'm 16 now and am not in the best relationship with my parents because of parties and choice of friends that may not be "appropriate." In the past my parents have read conversations shared with friends that they did not approve of. i have been grounded many times for it, and it has mostly been for word choice not content. When my mom saw i had a twitter she immediately made one herself and sent me a follow request which i do not want to accept though i feel like i may end up being forced to. Should i accept or wait for her to realize I haven't?

Just ignore the request. That's what I do with people that I don't want to see my stuff on facebook. If they ever ask, just tell them you didn't get the request. Works for me every time.

Boo! I'm not going to tell you to turn down your Lady Gaga and be a good little kid. Do what you will but then stand by your choices and defend them! You should not have to hide the truth like a cowardly child.

Accept but then do not hesitate or change your twittitude. It will be a big step in your personal growth and in your relationship with your parents, even if it is not easy.
