how to stop receiving notes from a tumblr post?

I made a gifset a while back and its got over 100k notes, people eventually stopped reblogging it but now they've started again, and i can't see anything else on my notifications but THAT!

I've deleted the original post too but i still keep receiving the notes. So now what?

Why would you want to stop receiving notes? The more notes, the better because some people might check the source (which is you) and follow it. Not to exaggerate but people beg and pray for notes. You should be happy and grateful. Unless the gif set is you doing something embarrassing, then yea, I understand why you'd want it to stop.

Well, this is what I did.
I not only deleted the original post, but I used an extension called Note Eraser. It not only removes the notifications from your dash, but it seems to remove them from your activity page as well!
The only bad thing is that it doesn't work on mobile, so you will still get notifications for it there.
