How to browse without being tracked by internet provider?
I need to be able to browse the web without being tracked by my internet provider. I want to go to websites that I don't want others to see. I am okay with downloading a new browser, or some sort of add on. I currently use Google Chrome. I would just use Incognito Mode but I have heard that it is not always reliable.
Thanks!

If you want to browse private you need to use a VPN like Hotspot Shield. When your packets are going through the network it's really easy to sniff them and find out what you're doing. When you use a VPN they are protected so sensitive information isn't visible. VPNs do slow your internet down though so don't use one if you have less than 10mb/s

While you might be able to "spoof" a web site, your ISP has a direct connection to your modem and therefore your account. In other words, you can't. How do you think criminals get caught?

the ONLY way to hide your traffic at all is to use an encrypted tunnel to a different ISP.
i would recommend https://btguard.com/
get the vpn and activate it.

Your ISP has better things to do than track where you are going with your web browser. No, seriously, your ISP has better things to do than record you and all of other users' traffic.

And Incognito Mode won't hide your actions from your ISP anyways.

The only way to truly hide yourself would be to use an external VPN host. You make a single encrypted connection to the VPN host, and then from there, make your web requests or whatever. All your ISP sees is this encrypted data going between you and the VPN. They cannot decipher what's going on inside that connection.

Of course this then assumes that the VPN host is trust worthy and not recording your traffic.

Sidenote:
Incognito Mode only functions as a 'local machine' operation that deletes History, cookies, log-in's, etc. from your browser. More of a privacy thing, it prevents subsequent users of that machine from see where you've been.
It is NOT related to outbound requests, or returning assets; and as such whoever is watching your browse session from 'outside' will still be able to determine your behavior.
