Make A Popular Search Engine?

I've been really inspired by Google, Bing, Yahoo, and even Baidu my whole life and I was wondering if it it is possible to make a search engine that would be popular and noticed by the average person? If so what features would it need to have to stick out from the others?

It first off need to be simple and fast. Look at google, a simple white screen with a search bar.
The best search engines have the best algorithm's to find websites and store them. That is why google is so popular, they're good at that. (:

Honestly, it's hard to offer more features and faster search results than the big ones - You are inspired? I suggest to apply for a job at these companies and make the existing search engines better instead of wasting time by trying to beat a multi million dollar search giants. Sorry, not want to destroy your dream!
