How high Google ranks a page is based mostly on how many other pages link to it - the content is important, but it's only part of it. So obviously a lot of pages are linking there. If you want to beat that page, you have to get more pages to link to you.

It reportedly has 68 different domains providing 366 backlinks, they look like decent link sources, not robot spam, there's a press release link and a Forbs blog link.

Although they are trying to use more relevance and various metrics to determine ranking, backlinks remain one of the biggest factors.

That link getting is at least gray hat.
