what phone is better?

hi well i have got to that age were i have to own a phone ,so my mum and dad have both offered me their phones (mum samsung ace2 mini)(dad nokia lumia 520)so i need the disadvantages and advantages please thanks

Okay. So to start with, the Nokia Lumia 520 has better specifications than the Ace 2 Mini BUT it runs Windows Phone 8. I'm personally not a fan of that OS but my friend has it and he likes it. The Ace 2 Mini runs Android which is the OS you will find on most smartphones today.

Nokia Lumia 520:

Advantages:
- Better specifications
- Better battery life (14.8 hours vs 12 hours talk time)
- Most likely smooth operation and a better camera
- More Pixels Per Inch (clarity of the screen)
Disadvantages
- Personally it runs windows phone 8
- App store is not as filled with apps as Google Play's is (But apps like facebook, instagram, twitter are all there)

Samsung Ace 2 Mini

Advantages
- Runs Android 2.3
- More apps and games
- More customization options
Disadvantages
- Less talk time
- Android may be slower than Windows Phone 8 when loading stuff
- Not the latest android version (Taken from Phone Arena)

I hope I helped you make an easier decision. Personally, I would go with the Nokia even if it did run Windows Phone 8 just because those things are built tough. My friend dropped his 820 in a fryer at his job and it still works!!
