buying/selling domain names?
I was on godaddy and I made a domain name, started my site. I heard people make money selling domain names.

My question is..... If I bought a domain name off their auction page is that all I get? Just the domain name and no site? I get to build the site to how I want?

Now lets say I have a (what I think) good domain name, short, sweet and to the point. So its available I buy it for the promo offer(like $10) and just list it on the auction? Do nothing but think of a catchy name and that is all they get? I see domains starting at $200 all the way to $50,000.

I just dont see people paying that much for just a catchy name.
thank you everyone. I was confused as to what I might be buying. I didnt want to buy a pre built site. Im not sure if buying and selling domains would be my thing, I was using that 2end question as an example but it might be worth a shot.

Well, yes. When you buy and sell a domain that doesn't include a website. If you want to make money through selling domain names, you don't have to build a website in order to sell a catchy name. Consider it as selling only the address, the building is the buyer's business.
If you want to make money, I'd say start by selling to double or triple your money. Plus you 'll need a lot of domain names to start making money, since you don't know when one is going to sell.
