How do you use a blockquote on Tumblr?

I've been looking all over and can't find anything. I want to reply to someone and I have NO CLUE. I'm a noob at Tumblr and looking for assistance. Thanks!

this isn't probably what you're looking for but yeah...

if you want to blockquote on a picture you reblogged- you write your caption, press reblog (duh) and then someone else has to reblog that same picture with YOUR caption on it and then it will automatically blockquote. [ this goes with text too ]

if you want to blockquote on whatever then on the toolbar (it has buttons where you can strikethrough, blod etc) then there will be a button that looks like this : |-> and then you click it and write whatever you want and then when you see it on your dash it will show the blockquote.
