Edit my short essay on the future of journalism?
It's due in about an hour and seeing as I haven't slept in 28 hours, I really can't give this a fresh look before I hand it in. It's a simple, 1-2 page paper on the future of journalism and whether it is bright or not. I would REALLY appreciate it, thanks!

As recent as 10 years ago, when one would think about the term “journalism,” one would typically associate it with newspapers. Now however, that term has become so broad that it encompasses everything from newspapers, to TV and Radio, and even to social networking sites. The face of journalism no longer belongs to out of touch white men running the New York Times. Instead, it belongs to a diverse body of people that now includes people from all ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. The Internet and new electronics has opened the world of journalism to all different types of people, making it more relevant and accessible than ever. It is because of new audience, new technologies, and our societies need for news that the future of journalism appears brighter and more promising than ever before.
Before the era of Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, there were very few ways to communicate to a mass audience, especially if you weren’t employed at a news station or a newspaper. However, the birth of these sites has changed the definition of a journalist, allowing almost anybody to become one. In the dictionary a journalist is described as someone who “collects and distributes news.” By definition, everyone from investigative reporters, beat writers, blog owners, and some YouTube stars are in fact, journalists. With so many different venues, this field now holds an array of interests for a variety of people, offering a niche for everyone. Newer markets also cater to specific ethnicities including the Latino/Hispanic, African American, and Asian communities. The new relevance journalism has in people’s lives will help it stick around for a long time.
On top of being able to appeal to multiple audiences, news is able to reach people in more ways than ever before, allowing more people to use and access news. For the businessman on the go, there are virtual newspapers and news apps that can be held in the palm of your hand. For teens that want news in 140 characters or less, you can look at twitter. Or for people who prefer more traditional methods, magazines and newspapers are still on the market with dozens of options to choose from. In order to keep up with a changing society, it’s important that journalism changes with it, rather than resist it. Masatoshi Naito once said, "Everything is in a process of change, nothing endures; we do not seek permanence." This quote rings true for journalism, it will always be in a process of change and we must accept it and embrace it in order to ensure a space for it in the future.
While the new venues for news and larger audience paying attention to it all play a large part in helping journalism become a much more relevant and promising field today, perhaps journalism’s greatest promise is the fact that news will never cease to exist. While its face may change shape and it’s traditional newspaper exterior may become something of the past, the world will continue to need news and someone to deliver it. This need ensures that no matter how it evolves, it will always be present in our lives. And judging by the new tools and sources we as a society have for news, it’s safe to say that journalism is not in fact dying, but instead it is revamping, remodeling, and reinserting itself into our daily lives like never seen before. Contrary to what critics may say of the weary field, journalism is far from extinct and it’s future bright.

I wouldn't change a thing. It's perfect.
