Tips/advice for my website?
I design nails and I started a website up to sell them after I kept getting questions and compliments on them. I started it about a month ago and so far I've had around 100 visitors and a few people message that were interested and had questions. But so far I haven't sold anything. I wasn't expecting to have a bunch sold or anything, but I was kind of hoping to have sold at least one set of nails by now.
My website is -- Madnails.storenvy.com So if you can check it out and just give me any tips or advice to improve it, I would greatly appreciate it. I am still very new at this. Oh and also if you have any tips on how to do free advertising, I would appreciate that too. It's hard to get the word out about my shop. Ads |

You are probably better off selling to friends and family and gaining sales by word of mouth.
Let's assume the website gets a 1% conversion rate. From 100 hits you may get one sale. What would your profit be on 1 sale (although it may be multiple. Is this profit enough to have a website budget for marketing, SEO etc. You probaly need 100 vistors a day minimum to get anywhere. Ads |

You are not getting visitors that means your site(&you) are not performing well in following: 1. Search engine optimization: I have checked and found your site has been already indexed by Google but we have to consider certain things first. Assume you are a different people and want to buy the product on your site. What would you search on Google or other search engines? So if those particular keywords are used properly on your site it can be vital. That subject is called keyword research. So what people actually search on search engines can be found by doing some keyword research. Lots of tools are available for free. Just research a bit. Use those keywords properly. But don't overuse. Then you can definitely get lots of hits. 2. Social Media: Interact with like minded people on social media. Use pinterest, fb, twitter to target people of same interest. 3. Start a blog: Remember those days when you were not a expert in your field. You used to Google certain things like "How to......", etc etc. Similarly others are learning too. Target those people. 4. Reduce prices: Suppose your competitor is selling a stuff at $10 you should sell it at a bit low. Then you can get more buyers. Optionally you may offer free offers, etc Good luck |
