Can I get my old Whatsapp account back?

I haven't used it for 4 months as my phone had a problem. I just got it fixed and its back from the service center today. I plan to install whatsapp with the same phone number on the same phone... will I be able to recieve all the messages people sent to me in those 4 months?

Yes you can receive as soon as you activate with your old number...

Whatsapp accounts are linked to phone number. If your phone (old or new) use same phone number OR you can verify with same old number then you can use old account again.

WhatsApp takes backup of all the data everyday in SD card. Uninstall the app ans reinstall it. When you reinstall it, it will say that it found chat history or backup. Say yes to get the data.
