Is their anything I can get my internet speed up?
I have 1mbps internet speed when NOBODY else is online and it's late at night. I have used all available tips online such as switching to the master socket etc. I have also changed provider form TalkTalk to EE but both are equally slow. My estimated internet speed is 1mbps for BT. I need a better speed than this as mu household is very busy with lots of devices connected. Is there anything I can do? Or can recommend a new provider.

Hey there, do you realise that it is not always your internet speed that is slow?

- It depends on the websites traffic (How many people are using the website at the same time.)
- How far is it from your country? (Most famous website will place a server in different countries to maintain traffic stability e.g facebook, youtube, google)
- Which programs are using your internet, programs can access internet while your computer is on, uninstall useless programs
- How fast is your computer's processor? Delete useless programs & files.
- How many people are using your internet? If multiple people are using the same network it will be slow of course.

NOTE : 1 mb/ps is quite slow so it is quite obvious to experience slow internet issues.

First you aren't going to be able to increase you internet speed by using tweaks and stuff like that. The only time that works is if your setting aren't right.Windows is configure to get max speed from your connect and if you get a improvement it will be very small.Your choice is to pay for a faster speed that's it.There are a lot of ISP that offer very fast speeds and I'm not going to list them. Why? because it does not matter, you can only get what is in your area and need to spend 2 minutes looking in a phone book and finding out.
