What are the pros and cons you see personally in social media such as facebook?

I should tell you, I'm not looking to get an account, I've already been through it, and am done with the whole shebang. But I am curious if others see what I see about it. Negative and hateful comments will be reported.

Depends on who are your friends on Facebook.
Cons for ME.
-When family finds me and we are friends I cant post what i normally post without them commenting or telling my parents
-When you have friends that are "swag fags" they post to much nonsense and get annoying
-There too many "games" such as "TBH" "Truth is" "Like For a fan sign" "Like for rate/date/smash/pass" etc etc it gets very annoying
-Drama! if you are friends in reality with drama girls and guys it gets on Facebook and it can get ugly and annoying
-Social Networks are known to cause a certain degree of depression probably because everyone shares their activities on Facebook such as purchases, relationships, great moments, and im sure it can cause jealousy.
-Can be addicting and used to waste time or a procrastination

PROs
-Stay in contact with friends that you lost contact with and you can find old friends
-News its great for news for anything you may like sports, video games, world news,local news, the pages you follow can share it to you and you can see as well as friends.
-Great for contacting people or meeting new people if you are that type of person
-Great for those friends you wouldnt give your number to but would still need to contact through facebook.
