EBAY how to SEND AN INVOICE FOR ACTIVE ITEM?

I'm brand new to selling on eBay and on my item a buyer contacted me asking if I would accept a certain price enstead of what I listed it for well I know I can send an invoice but can I do that while the listing is active or what are the steps that needs to be taken here? Does the buyer need to go ahead and buy the item not pay then I send invoice for it for the price they offered will that work or what??? Thank you

don't do that. against the rules anyways unless you end the auction with a valid reason. make a private listing for the person and sell it to them that way. do NOT sell it outside ebay when someone asks you to. they are asking you to avoid ebay fees.
