How do I add tags and categories to a wordpress blog?

Hello,

I was able to create new tags and categories by clicking on Posts --> Categories and Posts --> Tags.

My question is: when I'm in the page editor, I can't see a categories or tags section on the right side (I can't see something like this https://www.dropbox.com/s/fkpufend1yicwy...ies%20.jpg
How do I add tags and categories to my blog post?

I just realized the issue. I was editing a page. If we want to add categories and tags, we need to make a post (and not a page). Apparently, there is a difference between a page and a post.

yes there is difference between posts and pages both are used at different places
