Is the internet ending?
I just heard that the internet will end this year and be made anew. Is there any truth to this?

By the end of this year, all electricity will cease to exist. We will have to start anew. Prepare for the worst- learn how to churn butter, keep the livestock healthy, start a fire with sticks and matches, etc. It will be best to move closer to places near water so that the currents can provide energy. But don't worry, it won't take too long for electricity to come around again.
Good luck

What? That makes no sense... The internet doesn't belong to anyone, and is not something you can remake like that. It's a bit like a language, it doesn't belong to anyone, it adapts and (maybe) grows over time, it will still exist as long as people speak it. Well same thing if internet, as long as people will have access to internet and companies have servers, internet will exist. The thing you need to understand is that, information on the internet is stored literally everywhere... if you post a picture on, let's say, Instagram, burning you computer and the instagram server (which are spread out more or less around the world) your picture would still be on the internet. To successfully delete you picture you would have to burn every single device that had access to that picture(that's a whole lot)

Yes. And all cars, planes and computers. We will live in caves, no more houses. No more electricity either, we will use candles and steam power.

No more TV, video, movies, cell phones. We will go back to reading books, singing, telling stories. Goodbye Facebook.

Yep, going back to the stone age.

The only thing that is changing is that it will be going from the ipv4 addressing scheme to the ipv6. The latter has enough addressing capability to allow every blade of grass on earth to have its own IP address.
